  Great location. Close to amenities. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast offerings were adequate (but went next door to A+W). Main floor / stairwell carpets could absolutely use a thorough shampooing (were in pretty grubby condition). "Gym" is a bit generous of a descriptor. All-in-one workout apparatus seemed to be inoperable. Expensive, considering Best Western in Calgary is $100/night.

  The staff blamed me not knowing how to use a room key on outside (rear of building door lock) . Turns out it was the lock broken as I advised them. They then blamed for the lock being broken as I propped open the (lock was broken) to take my belongings to/from my car. Tripping hazards abundant I hall and rear parking (renovations). The staff did not offer breakfast until I asked about it. I think they were trying to save some $$$.
  
  Think twice before you stay at the BW hotel in South Surrey BC !
